Here are some simple and delicious desserts to serve on the fourth of July. They are easy to prepare and in no time at all you will have a fabulous dessert to serve your guests. These desserts can be served at parties, lunches, picnics or at traditional fourth of July barbeques.
Red, White and Blue Ice Cream.

Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a bowl. Top with a spoon of whipped cream. Then place a few sliced fresh strawberries and a few fresh whole blueberries on top of the whipped topping. This is to be served in separate dishes, one per each guest. You can substitute fresh red cherries for the strawberries.

This dessert is a breeze to fix and looks very festive! It is delicious and a great treat to serve during summer gatherings or parties. It is a great red, white and blue colored dessert to have for the fourth of July. You can also substitute strawberry ice cream for vanilla.
Flag Cake.

Take a yellow sheet cake or oblong, large pound cake and frost with white or vanilla icing. You may want to use cool whip, instead of frosting and spread on top, if you are using a pound cake. Take fresh raspberries and blueberries, mix and place in left upper hand corner of the cake, close together. The cake will resemble a flag when you are finished! You can also place red, white and blue candles on the cake, around the fruit, for a decorative touch. This cake is easy to fix and makes a pretty addition to a fourth of July menu.

Fourth Of July Fruit Cups

Prepare one of these for each guest expected. In one small bowl, place a few fresh sliced strawberries, a few fresh halved cherries, ten fresh blueberries and a spoon or two of shredded coconut. Add some chopped pecans. Top with a spoon of cool whip topping. Place a few fresh raspberries on top.This fresh fruit treat is marvelous. It has festive red, white and blue colors to help celebrate the fourth of July. This sweet and patriotic fruit salad is a winner!

Fourth Of July Jello

Make a large serving of red jello. This can be raspberry, strawberry, cherry or any fruit flavored red colored jello. Make this in a large and oblong dish, if possible. When the jello is set, spray or spoon an even coating of whipped cream topping over the top. Place many half fresh strawberries, whole fresh blueberries and half fresh cherries over top. You can spread the fruit out evenly or make a creative design of your choice, with the fresh fruit. This jello dessert is very easy to fix and will please your Memorial Day guests!

Angel Food Strawberry Surprise

Take one slice of angel food cake, place in bowl. Place one scoop of strawberry ice cream on top, followed by a spoon of whipped cream topping. You can place a fresh strawberry on the top of the whipped topping or a few fresh blueberries. This fourth of July dessert is quick and very tasty! Kids love this treat!
